“A root out of dry ground does not appear to have much of a chance to flourish. However, God can make a dormant bulb produce incredible beauty. He will do the same for us.”

“The beauty of life isn’t found in perfect circumstances; it is found in faith.”
Dad's Story
People often ask what was the inspiration for the Reblooming outreach? Where do the daffodils fit in? Reblooming came out of the most difficult season of my life. My Dad, Richard Shooner, suffered a stroke and was very sick. He was confused, physically debilitated and lacked the hope that he would be okay. Through the love, patience and care of our family and many medical professionals, he became aware of what happened to him and the reality of his situation...
Be a part of what we are starting from the ground up!
The daffodil recycling endeavor which includes fundraising is an integral component of this ministry, which contributes to the operation of our community outreach. It also provides the fellowship with a focus and an opportunity to work together on a common goal.
-
To salvage daffodil bulbs that are grown in pots.
-
To give bulbs a new life by planting them in the community.
-
Reducing waste by repurposing plastic flower pots and upcycling plastic wrappings.
-
Create rich compost by combining daffodil stems and leaves with salvaged soil.
-
Use compost to practice sustainable, vegetable food production.
We believe that our upcycled bulbs can have a far reaching effect transforming the lives of people and the environment in which we live.
